Dr. Diwakar Shankar is a fellowship-trained Consultant Neurosurgeon specializing in spine surgery, endovascular neurosurgery, and minimally invasive brain and spine procedures. Currently practicing at ApolloMedics Super Speciality Hospital, Lucknow, Dr. Shankar brings together clinical excellence, academic rigor, and compassionate patient care.
His medical training began at Motilal Nehru Medical College, Prayagraj, followed by an MS in General Surgery from King George’s Medical University (KGMU), Lucknow. He then pursued dual super-specialty training, earning both M.Ch. and DrNB in Neurosurgery from Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences (RMLIMS), Lucknow and NBE, New Delhi respectively — one of India's most prestigious neurosurgical centers. He further completed a post-doctoral spine surgery fellowship and underwent advanced training in endoscopic spine surgery at AIN Hospital, Incheon, South Korea.
